The Healing & Feeling Collective

Providing Therapy to Huntsville, Madison, Alabama, Maryland, and Texas

I started the Healing & Feeling Collective because I wanted a place where people could feel less alone in what they’re going through. Mental health can feel heavy and isolating, and there’s still a lot of stigma that keeps people from reaching out for help. My hope was to create a space where you are allowed to feel, and hopefully heal. The Collective is about building community, sharing practical tools, and making support more accessible so people don’t feel like they have to figure everything out by themselves.

I’m Sarah Zamora, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker providing therapy for children, adolescents, and young adults in Huntsville, Alabama and Madison, Alabama. I offer in-person sessions here in Huntsville and virtual therapy for clients in Maryland and Texas. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Social Work from Troy University and my Master of Social Work from The University of Texas at Arlington.

Over the years, I’ve worked with children, families, and adults in a variety of settings. Before starting the Healing & Feeling Collective, I worked as a therapist in Southern Maryland, focused on children, adolescents, and young adults. Prior to that, I provided school-based counseling in Georgia, and virtual services to rural South Carolina communities. Each of these experiences has shaped my practice and deepened my commitment to helping kids and parents feel supported.

My focus today is on children ages 5 and up, teens, and young adults who want practical tools and a safe space to work through challenges. I use a blend of therapy using play, CBT, DBT, and EMDR to meet each client’s needs. For kids, sessions often include play-based methods that make therapy approachable and engaging. Teens and adults can find support in healing from trauma, work on easing anxiety or depression, and discover healthier ways to cope and connect with others. No matter the approach, my goal is to create a welcoming and inclusive environment where children and families can heal, grow, and strengthen their connections.

If you, or your child, are struggling with anxiety, depression, trauma, or family stress, I’m here to help. I accept most insurances and will discuss payment options with you to keep therapy affordable and accessible. Together, we can find strategies that build resilience and help you be your best self.
